Abilities and Talents
Condensed: Kalei is capable of controlling electricity in his surroundings. He is able to act as a living conductor for electricity, which he can either let flow through him and into another object (or person), or use to heighten his own abilities. His preferred technique for combat is storing large amounts of siphoned electricity in his body which can strengthen speed-based skills, and/or be discharged in moderate mounts upon striking a target, or all at once in a wave of electricity, which may only be used when he is surrounded and has no other way of effectively dispersing enemies due to the risk it poses to comrades. He has swift reflexes.
In his demon form he is much faster on his feet, and has excellent hearing. He is bilingual (English/Italian).

Leech
-Can use his own body to siphon electricity from such things as machines and power outlets. Could also be used to siphon electricity from lightning strikes and storms, but this poses the risk of overloading his body's energy reserves due to the amount of electricity he would be receiving. Once he has siphoned electricity, he can use it to boost his speed and reflexes. A small amount of residual electricity remains in his skin.

Shock
-Upon making contact with an object or organic organism, Kalei can discharge electricity into that object from whatever part of his body made contact with it. This causes considerable pain to the target, and even lasting nerve damage in some cases depending on the amount of electricity that went into the attack. The target may also catch fire if it consists of or is wearing a particularly flammable substance. The power and amount of times he can use this attack depends on the amount of electricity stored in his body.

AOE Attack: Burst
-In preparation for the event that he finds himself surrounded by enemies without a method of escape, Kalei has learned to discharge all electricity stored in his body simultaneously. This is both more powerful and more taxing than Shock, effecting all creatures and objects within range (about five to ten feet in any direction, which may increase as he practices) with a similar power to Shock but at the same time depleting his own energy reserves. He will be left without the ability to attack or enhance his abilities with electricity, and must flee until he finds somewhere safe where he can recharge. Using this attack more than once without recharging is impossible due to its nature, and using it several times a day (if he manages to recharge in between uses) will leave him extremely exhausted.

Notes:
-Water strengthens the power of his electricity attacks and can cause Burst to have a much larger range if he uses it while submerged in a body of water
-Insulating materials weaken all electricity based attacks, and Burst cannot reach underground
-While Kalei is technically immune to his own electricity, electricity from an outside force that is greater than his own powers will cause damage
-His speed, body shape, and way of movement while in beast form are reminiscent to that of a hare

History
Kalei hails from the northern parts of Italy, where he spent much of his life in a nomadic fashion after completing his education at the hands of his clan, never staying in one place too long. It seemed that no matter where he went, he was shunned- humans, for his obvious and often frightening demon characteristics, and fellow demons for his easygoing and "weak" attitude towards humans. Kalei never thought of himself as a pushover, but when faced with so many ridiculing, frightened, even cruel faces- he knew that it wasn't worth being stubborn, and moved on to what he always would hope were greener pastures. But no matter where he ended up, it always seemed like something was missing or wrong (besides, of course, the issues he already faced among society).

But over time, a need that he had suffocated into dormancy crept up on him and took hold once more. The need to be accepted, to fit in. For years he had been wandering without direction, and now he knew what he had to have...but was there really any hope for him to attain such a thing? To be welcomed with open arms and open minds, instead of wary glances and sneers? He thought not, and remained a wanderer for nearly a year, until one day he came across something that to him was a promise of fresh air among stifling weeds.
He heard, in passing, about an organization known as DAMMED. Kalei had heard the name before, but had never really learned what the group was about or how it all worked. But one night, as he was sitting on his lonesome in a bar that was often frequented by his fellow demons, he accidentally eavesdropped on two peoples' conversation. They were discussing DAMMED, and as he listened he came to a realization.

He wanted in. Kalei felt that his only chance for his dream of being accepted was in DAMMED, and the thought of being able to make some sort of difference in the world only spurred him on more.

Why the character wants to join DAMMED
Kalei wants to join DAMMED because he recognizes it as one of the rare places where he might actually fit in among others and be comfortable, and because he considers the idea of being able to make a difference for the demons and humans of the world alike an idea worth pursuing.

-His tail in his beast form has a set of jaws on it that are capable of attacking and defending him from the rear, but cannot speak or consume food and are purely intended as a weapon.
-His eyes glow in low light, and he is capable of a small amount of night vision.
-Has a thin armour plating on his stomach while in beast form, similar to that of a reptile's. It only provides rudimentary defense from such things as stones that might fly up while he is running.
-His mouth(s) in his beast form are similar in material to beaks, though each also possesses two rows of sharp needle-like fangs inside (one on the upper jaw and one on the lower).
