Description OHHHH!!! How tiny is that!? Yes, I made the tack, uh, really! You know that I don't have money to buy any soooo...Yay! I was thinking of taking this set to a live show, do you think it would do well?

Lol, watched out for the rider's eyes, some dude in china thought it would be nice if he gave him "bug eyes" Lol!

Thanks for looking!

Very nice. Too bad the Stablemate riders look extremely unreal and stupid-ish, mmh?

The only thing that deprives this of realism is that stand. I seriously hate how thay made that thing! It looks beautiful otherwise,, and you are very talented when it comes to making tack!

I used leather lace.

To be able to take something so tiny and photograph it in such a way that it looks this realistic, that is pure talent.

could you give me some pointers on how you made the tack? I too wish to make tack (same reason as you) but dont know where to start!

CatWink In reply to FaithTheReiningMare [2009-10-14 21:03:42 +0000 UTC]

Sure! Uh, get lots and lots of refrence photos! Look at your lobrary and see if you can get a few books on Horse Tack. When looking for leather, always get something that has a really fine grain...And uh, have fun! If you need any more help, don't be afraid to ask me, I'm always open to helping my fellow model horse lover!

Honestly, I would totally take that set to a show! You could see for yourself if your work is truly LSQ or not. The only thing I see that could bring this down in a show is that the bit is not attached to the horse's mouth. I'd just take a bit of sticky wax (AKA dental wax) and stick it on, attach to the corners of the mouth, and viola! Instant show setup. ^_^

WARNING. Live showing is very addictive.

Oh My Gosh, you are just incredible at making tack and taking good model shots. None of my jumping ones are half as good as yours. You should definately put this in a live show, I mean we don't have live shows here in Australia but I recon you'd get a placing

This is really great. I'm not an expert on model horses (still trying too learn how to take half decent photos), but I think this could reasonably well at a live show.
