Description My very first Nightmare Moon plush

Oh my, she took so much work.... All those details... I used the pattern from again, but I changed the shape of her face to have it look more like Nightmare Moon, since she has a unique face

Overall, she took about seven hours to make. I put so much love in the details and the photo doesn't show it... Meh.

Next time, I'll make Luna again, I got transparent fabric with stars on it It's so beautiful, I can't wait to start^^

That's really nice, thanks. But she is very small and not very durable. Compared to how much time and effort I put into her, I couldn't ask for much money and so I'd rather keep her than giving her away for a low price.

CaveLupa In reply to PluckyPony [2013-02-01 09:58:02 +0000 UTC]

For such a tiny plush? You could get way better plushies for that money.

PluckyPony In reply to CaveLupa [2013-02-01 10:03:39 +0000 UTC]

or I would pay $120 but its so cute everyone is like $500 and i cant afford it and all of them are sold

Okay, I make you an offer: I plan to make a bigger Nightmare Moon similar to this Cadance [link] , in the next weeks, she will be about 30 cm tall and made of fleece. When I upload the photo, you can look if you like her and we can see if you want her. But I really can't give out that little plushie for so much money. I would feel bad^^

PluckyPony In reply to CaveLupa [2013-02-02 00:45:28 +0000 UTC]

Ok um but what if i give you the money but you dont give me nightmare moon? And maybe she could have some shoes? and maybe jewels if you want like diamonds in the hair so its shiny its up to you?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CaveLupa In reply to PluckyPony [2013-02-02 08:11:12 +0000 UTC]

That's the risk on the internet. And one of the reasons why I don't do commissions and sell my plushies. It was you who offered me the money after all.
Ok, I don't get that part. What kind of shoes do you mean?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PluckyPony In reply to CaveLupa [2013-02-02 23:22:50 +0000 UTC]

Anyway you can cancel the commission because I am making myself one with fabric I will be buying and is that fabric for nightmare moons mane is it a spotlight

Yes and could you give me some tips on how big it has to be???

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CaveLupa In reply to PluckyPony [2013-02-05 13:42:42 +0000 UTC]

As big as it is comfortable for you to work with. I would recommend a smaller size at the beginning, also to test if your pattern works. About A4 size. If you want, you can use my pattern as a rough reference: [link]
The whole pattern fits on an A4-sized sheet.

PluckyPony In reply to CaveLupa [2013-02-05 21:13:57 +0000 UTC]

Well mine is big and how do you get 4 feet??? The size of mine is about 2 pages of a jumbo drawing page is that good??

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CaveLupa In reply to PluckyPony [2013-02-06 10:10:41 +0000 UTC]

That's what you need the belly part for that's on this sheet.
That's a little big. I would start with something smaller to get used to the materials and sewing. Especially if it is your first plushie ever. Don't forget that a big plushie needs a lot of sewing to do.

She looks really nice! Might I suggest though, if you double up the tulle that you used for her mane and tail it will show up better.^^

CaveLupa In reply to Sophillia [2012-08-20 06:54:44 +0000 UTC]

Thank you

I was thinking about that, but I wasn't sure how to and so I decided to leave it that way. But chances are good I'll do it if I'm sure how to make it^^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sophillia In reply to CaveLupa [2012-08-20 11:56:42 +0000 UTC]

if you sew the two together as you would any other piece, turn it inside out, and don't stuff it will work.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CaveLupa In reply to Sophillia [2012-08-20 19:10:45 +0000 UTC]

That's how I thought, but I was not sure about the turning inside-out-thing. I was afraid it would look sloppy XD
