Description All the best practical jokes involve the airport.

When I was flying back from Edmonton, the person x-raying the over-sized/fragile checked luggage wanted to know what was in the little containers in my bag.

Shampoo I 'liberated' from the hotel.

That's all she asked me about, the shampoo....

There were five freakin' knives in there and she wanted to know about my haircare products.

Awesome.

I'm confused as to why you had knives.
In any case, security is backwards. It was tighter in Disneyland than it was in the airport, for Pete's sake.

I found a knife block shaped like a person. I took the holey-man-block as a carry-on but checked the knives.
Lots of people smuggling drugs into Disneyland I guess.

Oh, that is absolutely awesome.
I think they're paranoid about terrorist attacks, and things.

Yeah, they banned fruitcake in airports. Cuz they were so thick, people would hide knives and guns in there, and the scanners couldnt sense it.

caycowa In reply to AndaliteXD [2011-09-29 00:28:51 +0000 UTC]

That's messed up. Who goes to all the trouble of hiding a weapon in a fruitcake? Fruitcakes are already weapons in their own right.

ummm...is there a snake wrapped around Damien's leg? and 5 knives? 5 ******** knives and they asked about SHAMPOO??? just goes to show you, someone could put a gun in there and a little bottle of Germ-x in there and they'd probably go "why do you need bacteria killer? we have plenty of that stuff on-board. you're clear" **toss** gotta love airports eh? i am SO gonna try that tho and see what happens BRB, i gotta go fly to Britian...

Same when I was coming back from Japan. They asked about the soda in there when I had a lighter next to it. *sigh* at least I got my lighter home.

Decompressed soda is a deadly thing..... Yeah I got nothing. That's just weird, really inspires confidence in security, yes?

WhiteCrowShiro In reply to caycowa [2009-08-10 00:21:15 +0000 UTC]

Whats worse is the line for security was one line, with only one person checking it. It was small.

caycowa In reply to WolfangDarkwood [2009-04-18 14:11:30 +0000 UTC]

I bought a knife block, the knives had to go in the checked bags, the block went with my carry-ons however.

This is the knife block, it's awesome - [link]

Cheers,

Try not to keep it in mind right when you go through security, random smiling during cavity checks tends to spook them.

lmao! You have to be kidding me! Was there actually five knives in there?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

caycowa In reply to Elenor-GreanLeEf [2009-04-18 14:05:06 +0000 UTC]

Yup, it's my checked luggage but still I figured they'd at least say something like 'I see you have knives in here, okay then'.
Instead they wanted to know about the little bottles that they must millions of in people bags everyday.

The knives were from this knife block (mine's black of course) - [link]
The man part flew in my carry-on. No way I'm letting them lose that part.

That's like...when I went to Australia ages ago and the security people confiscated plastic scissors (with plastic blades!) from my baby brother.

And then they had metal cutlery on the actual flight .
