Description Now that's an unemployment beard if ever there was one. *New Headcanon Accepted*

Salvester McCoy plays Radagast the Brown in The Hobbit. That's about a thousand times better then when Tom Baker played an elf in a tree in the Dungens and Dragons movie.
Woohoo! We're moving up in the fantasy world!

I loved Radagast in The Hobbit. How dare people compare him to Jar Jar from Star Wars!

(*epiphany* THAT'S WHY I RECOGNISED RADAGAST! Holy crabburgers why did I not realise that was Sylvester McCoy?! He's my favourite Doctor for goodness sake! AND I BLOODY LOVE RADAGAST!)

Good thing Doctor Who came back though. The beard doesn't suit him, though it does make for hilarious picture entertainment ^^ (also the bird )

It took me a minute too, and I knew he was playing the role going in. The clothes, and all that hair in a mighty fine disguise.

But that face he made when smoking his pipe. Ha! That's all Salvester McCoy right there.

He just doesn't play fair, does he?
He's probably the genie from the lamp as well...
Able to grant wishes, ancient as time itself, lives in a container that is clearly bigger on the inside....

I can only hope this makes him the fairy godmother as well...

Don't Forget that Tom Baker did do BBC Version of Narnia series as Puddleglum

caycowa In reply to Aurora7054 [2013-01-16 07:51:32 +0000 UTC]

Didn't realise that. I'll have to watch it again. I think I might have only seen the first part when it aired back when I was a wee kiddie.

Captain-Chaotica [2013-01-09 22:45:27 +0000 UTC]

I can SO see the Seventh Doctor being like this while on the dole. And yes, new headcanon. Definitely. I mean, hey, Six wanted to wander off and be a hermit. Who's to say Seven might not have done that at some point as well?

(As for moving up in the fantasy world, Tom Baker also played Puddleglum in the BBC miniseries version of the fourth Narnia book, "The Silver Chair". A much bigger and classier part, even if those things were as low-budget as all get-out. But then, so was classic Who! And that was part of its charm. )

...Notorious

caycowa In reply to Captain-Chaotica [2013-01-16 07:50:14 +0000 UTC]

Did he really? That's a lot better then Dungeons and Dragons. I watched that when I was a kid, it was on t.v but I don't remember Tom Baker in it. Hmmm... maybe they never aired the whole thing in Canada. I only distinctly remember The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe parts. Will have to watch that again.

Captain-Chaotica In reply to caycowa [2013-01-16 15:01:33 +0000 UTC]

He did! and I have screenshots around here somewhere to prove it. The BBC Narnia things were seperate, like, one miniseries for each book. They made it up to at least "A Horse and His Boy", 'cos I remember seeing that in a video shop once long ago. (And unfortunately had no money on me at the time, dangit.) 1-4 were shown on "Wonderworks" in America, which is how I got to know about them.

Although at the time I wasn't a Whovian yet, so all I thought about Puddleglum is "Yay, Puddleglum!"
(For extra weirdawesomeness, I swear the girl who played Jill Pole is nearly _my goddamn CLONE_, she looks so much like me at that age, but that's a subject for another day...)

...Notorious
