I liked it a lot. It had also trekkie easter eggs and also a lot of nice action and scifi stuff (like silent space scenes) and hilarious jokes. Someone wrote that the director is poking the old fat trekkies and making fun out of them, and yes that is is in some way.

I think if you love Spot you will definitely love Data. May want to look into the Star Trek Next Generation series. It's all about the people and different cultures. Very personal and fun and witty.
