I made 7 of these guys when working at Millennium FX. Please note I did not make them from scratch. the moulds where the originals from BBC art department. I was only involved in the casting and build process. I supervised the construction and fabrication in the workshop with a small team. They where finally used in the Doctor Who Live Show which toured the country.Related content

I wonder if anyone ever tried to deface/mutilate these guys while you were on tour? I know the "Technicolor Daleks" weren't the most popular thing in the world when they first appeared...

They did get a bit of stick didn't they
Unfortunately it's an impossible task to please everyone when designing something as iconic as a Dalek. Have to admit I think the older style appeals far more to me.
