Something a little different. A very late birthday present for my good friend C-Adv (make sure to check him out: www.pixiv.net/en/users/4419023… ) featuring his beautiful daughter B! I've seen many profiles for characters, so I wanted to try one with a twist... animated! This was pretty fun to work on. I took a lot of inspiration from the "play of the game" kind of cinematics from original Overwatch. I am not a particularly good video editor, so it ended up being a lot of work to get everything on screen including some lessons in coding. I hope everything isn't too cluttered. More observant viewers may recognize some Jojo, Persona, and even Sonic influences on this.

I really wanted to play around with Blender's NLA editor for this one, mainly the animated time strip option for a super-slow motion effect you otherwise couldn't do that well. I also learned some very cool animation techniques for this, particularly involving arm movements in world space vs local, reducing the need to counter-animate the rest of the body. My next goal is to come up with a way to minimize gimbal lock without quaternions.
