i keep noticing something that's repeating itself with your work
the eyes of your characters are blank, no expression at all.
i think you should start working on expressions- you have everything except for that.
that's my 2 cents anyways.

Thank you for the critique! I totally understand where you're coming from, and I do use more facial expression in things like my web comic ANDROβ° or my pin-up works. I have tried to introduce more expressive work in my paintings, but for me it just doesn't feel right. I find the "vacant" expression to be the most intriguing one; they look deep in thought. Like people in the streets. Hardly any of them are pulling faces. So I think yes, for some artists, expressions are great for their paintings however, I'm not very partial to them. Thank you for your comment though! It's definitely not the first time I've been told this, and almost certain this won't be the last

OK but think of it this way- vacancy can be shown though eyes.. and in your comics, you don't show expressions,
you show facial expressions, you don't have expression in their eyes.
when i said expression i meant like tyra banks- she can express whatever she wants just with her eyes, barely moving her face.
moving the face around isn't hard.
you'd want to show even a vacancy expression through the eyes because that's the only way people can relate to your paintings
if you'll just leave it a total blank like you do, your work won't improve, that's not vacancy that's just blank- like it's not human but something made of plastic and is not very interesting.
it's hard but it's worth it- but if you do feel that it's not for you then keep up the work and ignore the gibberish.

Hmm. Though your reply seems condicending, I'm sure it isn't implied. Perhaps you're just not connecting with my work? Which is fine, as we don't tend to like all music by every musician in the world. Sometimes things are a hit or a miss. It could partially be that I don't feel the eyes are especially important to a persons face ( I think the lips and the nose are integral to a striking and interesting face) so I do place much more time rendering these things than the eyes. I think when it comes to some things people want to see in someone else's work, it doesn't necessarily mean this would be a technical improvement, but an aesthetic one that the particular viewer would like to see. I do feel my works are emotional, I just think perhaps my work is just not compatible with your taste. Thank you for your time though and lengthy reply!
