This fellow was kind enough to pose for a few snaps Unfortunately my angle didn't allow me to get all the vibrant coloured flight feathers. Next time eh!


Info: Usually in small flocks; feeds on ground. In flight accelerates with vigorous bursts of whistling wing beats interspersed with fast direct glides with wings stiff and flat; on landing tips forward, long tail lifting.
