Description Everyone hates the Mosu (MOH-soo), but the Mosu simply looooove everyone so much they could just eat us all up! Or suck us all dry, which they will given the chance. A raid by a huge swarm (they're rarely in groups less than twenty) of them on a hospital- a favorite stop- can be devastating. If there aren't enough infusions of blood to go around the prone patients are easy targets. Simply horrific.

The bugs- a kind of "nefer", or things-for-heads people- reproduce by the mosquito-parts laying huge eggs around heads of hapless humans (and other things sometimes). The mosquito-parts are all female, and all genetic clones of one another, and so all can reproduce easily. The brain of the human is encased inside the thorax of the growing insect body and is flooded with mosquitoid senses, hormones, and urges for blood, while everything outside of the skull has been dissolved. A addictive, euphoric drunkeness is enduced by feeding on human blood (or the blood of the host species). It ain't so bad being a bug-head. It's actually easier being a Mosu, as it's easier to find humans than it is to gather food if they were still human. Weeeoooo.

In reality, only female mosquitos drink blood, and only then to fuel up their growing eggs. Meanwhile, the males sip nectar like any civilized insect. My apologizes to any entomologist who hates the thing's anatomy, but it's also on the head of some guy.

Ink, Bit o' Photoshop color added.

I especially like that you added red to the composition, and didn't color anything else. Ties it up nicely.

It's awesome in a very twistedly sick way. I love it. I like mosquitos... drawing them anyway. But ever since I saw that one Teen Titans with the guy wth the spider head, the whole "something else as my head" disturbs the hell outta me. But these things are cool.

Nyaaa! It's not a new thing. One egyptian god has an entire scarab for a head, (and are in a story I read...doodle of it somehwere). It's more interesting then an "anthro" animal IMO. And delightfully creepy :>

Yeah, your brain is still functioning normally but you're so doped up on mosquito-hormones and such that you're 'drunk' most of the time and become emotionally stunted. A person basically shares senses and brains with the bug half.

Wow, that's creepy, yet well thought out! And I love that note on the bottom about people who bitch about the anatomy of something like that. I think Gary Larson made a similar statement in the Far Side (about mosquitos, too, no less). Something along the lines of "Entomologists complained that only the female mosquitos bite. It's apparently otherwise perfectly acceptable that they're wearing clothes and speaking English, here."

Bwahaha, my point exactly. Technically they can't even get that big without collapsing/suffocating anyway (you don't see bugs that big nowadays) so it's crap nomatter what!
