Again, as with the first one, the Daltons break into a museum but the only way in is through the palaeontology wing, where all the dinosaurs are. Only this time, they are found out by the Secret Scouts, who tackle them with their Secret Scout Rings, but end up being taken hostage at gun point, and only Ryan escapes by using the Dalton's method of entry as his exit.

After loosing Ryan, Jack discovers some charts that claim that there's an unclaimed oil deposit under the volcano outside of town - where Lavadome is! Joe plans to steal the oil and make himself rich enough to buy an island where they won't be bothered by the law anymore.

Ryan soon warns the Dinosaucers about what's happened and they go to the rescue, giving all four brothers a terrible fright, and didn't even have to dinovolve - though they do fossilize the Daltons' guns, and Joe's hat.

This leaves poor Joe a gibbering wreck afterwards...
