Ok so this is a stag beetle, also known as Lucanus cervus. It's freaky huh
? Look up some pictures of the male (this is the male, the female has much smaller mandibles). I was just getting home from my stroll through the woods and i saw it sitting on a post For some reason i think it looks a bit blurry

Well, I've seen bigger .... trust me. And this isn't the best shot, as it was one of my first. This one's really old.
Oh, and you can also tell my level of experience back then by looking at the major blur. What a waste of a perfect opportunity

Yeah. there are loads of those things in the forest where i live. I took some more pictures of those , they're a lot better but I didn't upload them yet because my PC got fried and now I've got loads of pictures waiting to be uploaded.

Well, I looked through the pics in my PC and i noticed they're not here. They're probably on my broken PC. I took it to get my data retrieved. I'm pretty sure It's done but I haven't picked it up yet so It might take a while.

your shots are way better, I took most of the pictures i took that time because the wild irises were blooming and since my sister was away I'd tought i would take some pics for her and so............here i am
I'm not aiming 2 b a professional, it's hardly a hobby for me but i do like taking photos

nah its not so scary. personally, i find all insects quite scary (even butterflies) if i get close enough to them, but al long as i dont have 2 touch them its ok
