I drew this for a friend for Christmas. I almost didn't want to give him away *sniff* The dragon took forever, and all the dark shading nearly killed my pencil (I'm sorry Old Blue, I put you through so much abuse!). Referenced off a google image.Related content

This pic took me forever to get just right, I must have re-drawn Hiei five times, even with a reference pic

I used my trusty .7 lead mechanical pencil old blue. I can't stand using regular pencils, I need a constantly sharp point.

And you have to sharpen regular pencils, which gets messy and tedious.
I'm trying to work with .7 now. But partly because my .9 died. (though in art class my teacher gave us regular pencils, which is kind of a pain since I keep having to rotate my pencil to keep my lines sharper).

Yay! You're taking art class this year! Congratz! I used to use .9 when I first began using mechanical pencils because I'd break the thinner stuff easily. You should keep on using .7 lead(luna diviner = #7), and diet coke should use .9, ...man, why don't they make .8...
