Beautiful photo, just love the lights and the light reflections in the water. The Grey Heron and reflection in the corner also adds to the photo. This is a well composed and balanced photo, superb work my friend.    .

Thank you! The Heron was actually the subject but the lights decided differently.

Gorgeous shot! I really love the vibrant lights and their prettily blurry reflections. They look like fairies sprinkling fairy dust down onto the water. It's great how you captured the water so still and black. The bird looks lovely, too. He seems so small against the background, it gives the whole photo a lonely feeling. That, and it makes the name "Great Blue Heron" seem delightfully silly because in this photo the bird looks anything but "great" (as in large). The bird's reflection also is really wonderful. It's one of the best bird reflections I've ever seen and it brings a kind of mysteriousness to the whole thing. Nice work.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful post! I had completely forgotten it was a Heron even though it is one of the more prevalent bird species here. I do not know why but I always confuse those and cranes at night. I am surprised that this bird stood mostly still for 30 seconds. You can barely see any movement what so ever. Thank you again for your kind words and I am really happy you enjoyed it.

You're quite welcome.

Don't worry about it, I do the same thing.

I can't see any movement at all. The fact that this is somewhat an action shot makes this all the more impressive. If you want to see one stand still, you should come down to Melbourne. I could stand close enough to touch one and it wouldn't do anything.

No problem. It's an amazing photo.

I work out at the MLB Airport. Kind of a good spot with lots of woods near by.
