"sigh". i gotta leave this damn fan art stuff alone, i got too much to do! lol. (i'm totally undisciplined). there's so much crap i have to finish, but i couldn't resist doing some AVATAR fan art after finally seeing the last episodes of BOOK 3. so, i started a few sketches and i'll probably ink them (since the sketches themselves are horribly ruff :/ anyways, i guess i'll be adding AVATAR to my ADULT series of doing things. first up: KATARA.NEXT UP: TOPH

Wow. this is cool, and very well done. The X's on her sleves make me think of a story I red a while ago about Katara and Zuko Being pulled into the X-men: Evolution Verse.

really? i'll have to check that out. you don't have a link to that or anything, do you? truthfully, tho, i kinda misinterpreted the x-designs. they're really supposed to keep going around the whole sleeve, instead of just a circle. check out the link to the original costume illustration. oh... and thanx.

Well, looks good 'n all but like, I dunno, if you hadn't said it was Katara, I
would've had no idea that's who it was supposed to be, lol. Not as though it
would be different with a real girl at age 12 or so & then at this age, but with
cartoons that usually tends to be the case, always some way you can tell.

i kinda purposely tried to make her different as an adult, not to mention she's drawn in my style. maybe i deviated too much. i could've done her in the style of the animation, but... it's been done to death, in my opinion. and i don't think i'm skilled enough in coloring or inking to make the pic look unique. then again, that's still probably a matter of opinion. if it were colored, it'd probably look like her, lol. i also used a fan-made costume too, so... in the end i'm just proving your case, lol.

lol, hmmm, ya. Hell I only saw like 5 or 6 episodes or so before the
show bored the living crap outta me, so I'm not really one to talk in
the first place, haha. All I know is the light blue clothes she wore
usually set her apart from...pretty much everything else on screen.
So yeah, if it had some color there's a good chance it'd look more
like her. Probly just goofy 'ol me but I doubt I'd know who it is, still.
