Oh wow! at first glance I thought it was a real apple! This is so cool! (I hope this doesn't sound mean ah!) after inspecting it closer I could see how you did it more! I believe you did a lot of blending, yea? I may be wrong! I'm not so good at realistic things digitally, so this amazes me!

well I did some blending but most of the time I've used transparent brushes. That's the only thing I can do digitally, because I can't draw lines !

What program do you use? I use gimp and i don't have the right brushes to draw lines. they all look like pixels

Oh! I use Photoshop Cs5 to do my drawings. It has all kinds of brushes, plus more you can download. I heard a good program is medibang. I don't know if it is free, though. There's also a way to download SAI, but I wouldn't recommend it because I heard its not legal.

Paper? Is that a digital program? I've never heard of it, but seeing as you're saying it has a lot of good brushes kind of gives me hints, haha! And for someone stuck with gimp I think you're doing super good!

Ooooooh!!! I get you haha! I love using paper too, to be honest. It's just so much easier to get your lines down (in my opinion) my art looks better in paper. I try to do it in paper and then scan it in, or take a picture of it then trace a rough draft .
And you're welcome!

That looks amazing, how did you learn to do that?

Well... everyone that does digital art is going to shame me. At school I've learned how to make copies from old oil paintings and I have used the same technique. You pratically have to recreate every dot of the original picture/painting. It took me like 3 hours to make that

Isn't that the way it's supposed to be done? You know, copy closely from a photograph? Why do you feel shame?

Most of the times when you see an artwork digitally done, you'll see the brushes, so I thought It has to be done that way. But I have gimp, and I can't use the brushed well, because they have a bad finish. So I've used small brushes and I don't know, I thought it was the wrong way!
