That warm feeling of Mikey lying in the sun... the carefree splish-splashing of the others and brotherly camaraderie... then you realize they are swimming in the sewers.

Hmmm, true. I can think another reason though. Like Donnie's machines to clean the specific water area. ...oh I just literally have a lightbulb moment, their lair's water is clean (notice the water clearness during meeting Leatherhead first time episode)
