Description I took this near a tiny village in southern France (Volvent, DrΓ΄me).
This butterfly had its wings broken and was crawling on the road. I decided to take a photo and then put him away from the road. But just after I took the pic, a car came and I had to run away. And when I came back, the butterfly was dead...

Nice picture, a very sad story...
You can at least be comforted with the fact that butterflies live about 24 hours anyway...
