Storytime!!!

Back when gen five debuted, I had a hard time picking which starter to choose for my playthrough of Pokemon White. I kept cycling through Oshawott, Tepig, and Snivy, since I loved all three starters already~

In the end, I /did/ get all three starters, but again, the question in mind was: who did I want to play through gen five as my main?

So, I kept cycling, restarting, and to my surprise I got a female Tepig, all by chance/without trying~

I've only had two occurances where I was lucky to have female starters at the beginning since they're a rare probability in-game; the other time was a Squirtle in my FireRed playthrough, and fittingly, both Pokemon have symbolic meaning in my life.

I took this as a sign to choose/play as Tepig, and I'm so, so glad I did!!! 💖

This decision influenced me when I played a Mystery Dungeon game. I played as my Tepig, Bonnie, and Oshawott, Maurice, (which I also had in my team for White). But I became significantly more emotionally invested in them after Mystery Dungeon~ 💕💕💕

So, of course, I drew Emboar here for my portrait series!!! 🔥🐗
