I think it was around a month, give or take a week, and I'd work on it for like 15-30 minutes every other day or so

Your going to make a shiny flygon one too?! That's amazing has your family and friends started asking you to make piñatas for there parties? I want to start making piñatas for my kids parties but I don't think I could do the shapes of bodies yet.

Yup I've gotten a few pinata requests from friends over the years~
They make great gifts
But yeah I'd definitely recommend trying your hand at making them
Like you said, the first few ones you make have to be simple
But after you get the hang of it, you can make a whole range of different body shapes
For my first few pinatas (I've been making them for nine-ish years now)
They were just spheres, which were made from layered paper-mache on top of a balloon
Since then, I still use those spheres as a base (the head and body of the lemonsnout pinata are both hollow spheres)
And I've learned that you can use stuff like newspaper and duct tape to create shapes to add on
