Anubis is a Goa 'uld, who Ascended into a higher plane of existence, but was sent back by the Ancients, half way, so he was a half ascended being who did Battle against us humans at the end of Season 7 of Stargate SG 1, where he was defeated by a buried weapon of the Ancients found in Antartica. hehehe....

aside dat, its a cool pic and all, but something about the pose just doesnt seem agreeable to me...

Neither do I but with Set being the god of the desert, it might be possible (thanks for this brilliant idea!). The problem is that no one really knows which animal's head Set's supposed to have. Arguably a cross between a jackal or an aardvark (they have anteaters in egypt???) or sometimes with a falcon's head (taking guise as Horus) in the temple of Hibis during the persian period. I think I just talked too much...

Anyhow, meet Anpu the egyptian pronounciation of Anubis. He's gonna end up in one of my comics (hopefully) and I might explain why I chose a wolf's head instead of a jackal's
