i use the gaussian blur too

I always go back with the dodge tool in the highlight areas and then smudge and blur to my hearts content. It doesn't look glowy until I do that.

Alot of people used a pic of the Earth in the deviation so I knew for sure I didn't want to do it that way. Don't feel alone, I downloaded a "window update" that was really a virus. I ended up with over 1000 spyware and 300 viruses I just did get my computer back. I feel your pain!
