Fighting one of our best ranked fighters was not gonna prove anything. We we're trained in a... 'Controlled' environment. I needed something more challenging. I needed something more vicious and feral-- I needed one of those run-away coliseum cats. The serval didn't look like he could do much, especially with his size, but I remembered him from when I was a cub. He was there from the beginning. The Coliseum fighter who despite his physical abilities survived every coliseum fight thrown at him. He was one of the first cats to run away and actually survive, and hand me my calling.
He would do.

After isolating and capturing him, he was strapped away from his armor and put in a cell the night before our fight. I had a task to check on the captured cats, and every last one of those flea bags looked at me like I was plague itself. But he didn't. He didn't even look at me.
"Hey." He spoke in a raspy, downed tone. I stopped, for even I respected the fighter that much. "I don't know why you devils are doin' this, but let me promise you something." His tone rose as he turned his head to merely look at me over his shoulder. "I won't be going down tomorrow." He spoke so confidently, almost getting me to cringe at his arrogance. "I'll be damned if I let you, or any one of you pets, take me down before I see my family again." I couldn't understand why he was sharing this with me; most likely an effort to sap out a soft spot from 'a lady' like me. "Then you better put up an actual fight tomorrow." I said and continued on with my assignment.
Regardless that we we're enemies, I saw the same fire in him as I did. Tomorrow would hold an unique fight; no armor, no support-- claws, teeth and skill would prove a point... Of being an elite.

Yeyy, I'm gunna try out with Mavis for the rank of an elite fighter. c: There was a lot more I should've added in the story, but time is against me rn. //Cries.
I hope she passes, she's been trainin' for this her entire life.
