It sounds quite easy to me, because I'm a French native speaker, and in french, "insecte" is the common word for "bug"... I don't know if it's used as frequently as "bug" in english, but if it is, it's quite the same as if we called it "Bugeon" x) And if Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon were called "Watereon, Electriceon and Fireon", it would sound pretty cheap ^^' But if "insect" isn't used that commonly and sounds quite more elaborate than "bug" to a native English speaker, sure, that may be ok

Insects specifically have six legs

"Bug" is a generic term for crawlies, and usually has more "gross" connotation

IMO "Insecteon" is a little long, granted there's Vaporeon but that doesn't have the ct double sound

One of my thoughts would be Artheon or Arthreon (from Arthopoda, the biological phylum that includes insects and other exoskeleton creatures). Or maybe Vibreon?

Thanks for the explanation ! But right, it sounds a bit long...
I'll go for Arthreon then, it sounds cool !
