Description

Hello, Sorry for the Lack of Artful updates here, been busy with Real-Life stuff, but here is the Most Voted Year to do a 'Best of Cartoons' drawing before the Expiration of my Core membership took down the Polls. And it is 2010, a Year of Great Beginnings & Discoveries, for Me that is, even at that Time, I was Re-discovering more of Music Groups such as U2 (personal favorite song: "Where the Streets have no Name")pet Shop Boys, Re-Discovering Gorillaz and Discovering their Troubled History with the Band members since Phase 2 and 3, getting to know who Pink Floyd really was and Loving their 'the Wall' album & Concert Footage, Discovering who Special/Visual Effects artist Mr. Phil Tippett was and his old work on 'Prehistoric Beast' & 'Dinosaurs', Loving my Compilation soundtrack '80's New Wave' more, & Starting to Love 'Looney Tunes' even more, plus the Only Movie I ever seen in Theaters was the 2010 Remake of 'a Nightmare on Elm Street' with my Sister & Future Bro-in-Law, and possibly my Last Film to see in Theaters presented in 35mm before going Digital Reels, Plus Loving the aNoES series more, and getting my Hands on a Rare 2-Tape Collector's Edition of the original 'Nightmare' film on VHS back at the Englishtown Auction (that Really caught my Eye that Time). And 2010 was also the time I attended Vocational Classes for Commercial art, which was the Best Two-Year Seminar of my Life, and my First Attendant of the Australian Pink Floyd show in the Asbury Park Paramount Theater, plus that Year was the First Time visiting the Boardwalks of asbury park, where my Cousin Megan worked at a Now-Defunct Pizza place, and where the Silverball Pinball Hall of Fame Opened up, just when I was fascinated with the Midway Pinball Hall of Fame Wii game I've gotten for Easter that year. and the Summer of 2010 was a Great one, attending those multiple Summer Band Cover Concerts at a Park near a Grade school, Visiting a Hoboken city at a bakery where that 'Cake Boss' TV Series took place, and having a great time down at Atlantic City for a weekend, And me Loving more of the Disney's 'Fantasia' music & the 1980 'the Shining' movie, and the 'Evil Dead' trilogy.

But now, the Real Deal here is the Cartoons that I Enjoyed watching over the Start of a Great New Generation, and here are the Brief Reviews here.

Adventure Time - when I first Discovered this show, actually, I first discovered Finn's design on an old Nicktoons promo, back when the show's pilot episode was on Nick's 'Random Cartoons' show, and I was surprised that Cartoon Network picked it up for a Series, and when the 'Adventure Time' saying and logo came up, it got me thinking of Cartoon Network's old 'Flapjack' program (in which Pen Ward used to work on a program like that), and I was like "oh Boy, something Flapjack related I suppose", so I watched the Program, and after a Few Episodes, I find it quite Interesting, Heck, Fun Fact is that Flapjack's creator Thurop Van Orman worked on the show during Season 1-2 as Supervising producer, as well as doing Guest Voices for the Show as the Tree Witch & Kent.
And the Show boasts some Great Cast such as Mr. Jeremy Shada, who I was surprised that he made a Voice role in 'Chowder' as Porridge, Good Ol' John DiMaggio, who's voice work always cheers me up sometimes, Legendry Tom Kenny, our Familiar SpongeBob Voice, and Ms. Olivia Olson, who I first discovered her as playing Vanessa Doofenshmirtz of 'Phineas and Ferb'. Plus the Program had some Good other Casts & Guest stars voicing characters such as Andy Samberg, Jenny Slate, Brian Doyle Murray, Weird Al Yankovic, Rich Fulcher, Donald Glover, Roz Ryan, Jessica DiCicco, Keith David, Justin Roiland, Lou Ferrigno, Ron Perlman, Martin Olson, etc. etc. etc. Along with some Good Guests Artists and Animators such as my Favorites, Celmation Hero Mr. James Baxter, who did some Guest Celmation and voicing his animated character James Baxter the Horse, and the Stop-Motion fav by Kristen Lepore, which should deserve Good awards for it.
And I'm glad it's a Good change for Cartoon Network, like I said multiple times in other Drawings that I feel like I wanted Children of Today to see the 'Grand CN'(2010-Present) in a Totally Different Way, They should have Smooth Cel-Drawn (or Sometimes Digital Ink & Paint) Animation, Surrealism, and/or Surreal Humor (something Well-Written, Bananas, or Bonkers), Great Story-line (Like some Great Story-Arc, Mini-Series, or even Full Lenghted), Memorable Characters (Who are Smart, Fun-Loving, Caring, and/or Always Knowing their Destinies and/or True Purposes), and A-Little Dark-Themed (to Make Things more Dramatic and Serious). I'm Tired of Living in the past Where some Animated Programs have some Grotesque Imagery, Roughly Animations, and Comic Characters that are Silly and/or Stupid, It's Not Even Funny like in Old Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon, and Over-Using the Same Voice Actors for Different Roles in the Same Shows on the Same Programs, Bring in some New/Fresh Young Voices to the Stand.
OR... In Other Words, Everything doesn't have to Be Mickey Mouse, Speed-It-Up Movements, or Slapstick Humor, for Cartoons Today.
It's a Shame a Good show like this had to go Away, much like what happened with 'Uncle Grandpa' & 'Regular Show', and the Best part of it is, I Never loose Faith in the Program, even when it had some Dramatic Moments & Characters loosing their Touch, they do have some Redeeming Qualities if I watched further from episode to episode, and the First Mini-series for the Program such as 'Stakes' was a Good touch to it.

Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil - I don't know what drove me to watch this series, even when I'm still not a Big Fan of Flash animation back in the Day, but sometimes I find this show Fun to Watch, sometimes I find it gross, and sometimes I find it too Weird (in a Weird way), and seeing the name Savino(future 'Loud house' creator) in the Director & co-executive producers list, since I've known that name in the First season of Johnny Test, I've figured he's just another Flash Trasher that has Fallen sucker to this Cheap Tool. But the Show is also the First time I've discovered a Voice Actor named Matt L. Jones voicing Gunther soon also voiced characters in 'Adventure Time' & 'Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket'. One of the Memorable things while watching this show is when I saw the Two Episodes on Thanksgiving at my Uncle's old place in Freehold that Had some Guest Stars such as Henry Wrinkler, Tiffany Thorton, & Alyssa Milano. Plus one of my Favorite characters in the show is Jackie Wackerman, don't get me Wrong, but she & Kick really made a good Friendship with each other, and like Chowder & Panini, I wouldn't want anything to change that. And even when I've seen the Animation takes on this Show, some of the Mouths of the Characters reminds me of another Flashy-Toon that I didn't even cared about called 'Jimmy Two-Shoes', and to my Surprise, both shows were made by the same Studios.

Hero: 108 - I probably watched a Brief clip of this show back in that year, but didn't watched most of the Series until 2011, when some Certain episodes were still On-Demand on cartoon Network & Kabillion. And the Reason for making me watch the Show was the Character Alpha Girl (Latifah) & Second Squad, who happens to be my Favorite Characters out of the Series who don't get much Crap by others from that said series. Fun Fact about this program is that it had a product-Tie in with Taco Bell restaurant (along with Wubbzy), and that the Art Style for this program would be said to be based off of ancient Chinese novel the Water Margin focusing on the exploits of First Squad and Second Squad.

Sym-Bionic Titan - I've actually never seen a Promo for this Series, but when I briefly watched Middle-part 7 Final Clips of the First Episode, I would be all like, "Wow, who made this Series?", and maybe when I saw Mr. Genndy Tartakovsky's name in the Credits, I was like, "Hey, that guy also made Samurai Jack & Star Wars: Clone Wars", and Now i was starting to Love this series more, even when I've heard with my own Ears that Patrick Star was doing the voice of the character Meat. Too bad the Series ended the Next year, and didn't get much Expansion, even on March 29, 2011, that it was reported that Sym-Bionic Titan has been canceled due to being unable to acquire a toy license.

Regular Show - Like 'Adventure Time', this caught me by Surprise, I was thinking the Show may be interesting for me to watch, so I watched the First episode "the Power" On-Demand, and I thought it had a Slow Start, but by Watching Further episodes like 'Just Set up the Chairs", "the Unicorns have got to Go", & "Ello Gov'ner", This Show Really Packs a Punch and I find it more Interesting than ever. And even like AT, the show may had some Ups & Downs throughout the show, I still Watched it Hopefully to redeemed itself, like with 'Regular Show: the Movie'. And don't Blame the Show for it's Dark & Dramatic moments, Blame the Writers & Producers for Controlling our Favorite Characters to play out in some certain episodes.

T.U.F.F. Puppy - Back when I was too reluctant to know more about Boyle's 'Yin Yang Yo' series (up until the Night before Christmas Morning), I've seen promos of an Upcoming Nickelodeon series made by Mr. Butch Hartman called 'T.U.F.F. Puppy', and Hopefully it would be interesting to watch since the show Boast more Anthropomorphic Characters unlike Butch's past Shows, and I find the Show more Amusing. And upon reading who voiced Dudley Puppy was Mr. Jerry Trainer, who played in Nickelodeon's 'I-Carly', co-Starring Miranda Cosgrove, and that was when I was starting to watch more of 'I-Carly' on Nick, and hearing Jerry's voice makes me think of Dudley Puppy now. I just wish I'd seen more and more of this series from Time to Time before it got off the Nick's viewing List, still had some Good memories with this show.

Cartoons from 2009 to 2014 were good including Phineas and fern, penguins of Madagascar, and Johnny test. You forgot fish hooks and my little pony friendship is magic. Cartoons became terrible starting with svtfoe. I miss that era. I barely remember anything outta flapjack, chowder, mighty b, and barnyard.

Bottom line: this decade was NOT a waste for cartoons, right? No matter what they developed into as time went by?Β

Aside from Tough Pup, All those shows we're fantastic. It's a shame Sym Bionic Titan and Suburban Daredevil ended too soon.
