I was making some cupcakes to take to a party at my Mom's and decided to fill them with dulce de leche (which is OMGI'MEATINGTHISRIGHTOUTOFTHECAN delicious) but needed a topper cause of uggo. Not wanting to use icing and having some leftover fondant from keyboard cat, I made some cute little caps.. then decided little flowers would be fun.. and they needed to be painted... the ensuing color scheme was completely accidental and when all was said and assembled... heyyyy they look like little cacti!
They were fun and really damn delicious.

Aw, cute. What exactly is fondant? I've been trying to find something that would work for a cake for Thanksgiving (It'll hopefully look like a turkey when it's done), but I just don't know what to use for the details and such.
