Description
Wish That You Were Here - Florence and the Machine
You're always on my mind
You're always on my mind
And I never minded being on my own
Then something broke in me and I wanted to go home
To be where you are
But even closer to you, you seem so very far
And now I'm reaching out with every note I sing
And I hope it gets to you on some pacific wind
Wraps itself around you and whispers in your ear
Tells you that I miss you and I wish that you were here
The pale Vicars' fur thrashed in the intense winds, soaked by rainfall as her packmates panicked around her to escape the incoming storm - one they had never experienced before. But her mind wasn't on the land, or the weather, but of the disappearance of Cassandra.
Her friends' mind never healed properly after the end the war, after her daughter left - part of Cassandra had gone with Selena, and never returned. Now it seemed that all of the Lady had evaporated into thin air.
The pack had tried to locate her, but their focus was on saving the numbers from the terrifying weather they were experiencing, to get somewhere safe.
But her safe haven was out there somewhere. So Ori would brave the storm, to find her.
Ori retires with 32 bones.
This was never how I saw Oris' retirement being, but it is what it is. Her and Cassandra were Orca, end goal for the pair so wherever Cassandra has gone to - Ori will follow, or attempt to.
Ori was my first character in DOTW, when she joined Vale back in 2018, then loners, then Fellfang and loners once more until she joined Aryn in mid of 2020. Which admittedly feels like a lifetime ago, despite only being a few years. I will miss her, but I don't have regrets ending her story now even if there had been more to tell. She helped me learn a lot art wise, so for that I will be forever grateful. She was apart of another group prior, from 2016 [?] I believe, so I think its time for her story to rest.
