You've kept some of the mischief about her in her eyes and smile.
I have a feeling that if they did a new TV series of Mr. Peabody Penny would become the third person in the group and would be the one to get herself (and Sherman) into predicaments.

So I just came back from seeing the movie and all I got to say about her is.......
GOD DID I ******* HATE HER! SERIOUSLY WHAT A HYPOCRITICAL *****!
I DON'T CARE IF SHE REFORMED IN THE END SHE IS STILL A ******* *****! IT IS HER FAULT THAT SHE AND SHERMAN HATED EACH OTHER! MAYBE IF SHE DIDN'T PICK ON HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE! NONE OF IT WOULD OF HAPPENED!!!!!
THEY SHOULD OF LEFT HER TO DIE IN EGYPT! I SURE WOULD OF!!!!
AND SHE WAS NOT SORRY! IF SHE WAS SHE WOULDN'T OF PICKED ON SHERMAN!!!!!

Sherman showed her the WABAC, despite wanting to obey Mr. Peabody. So, Sherman was selfless, as she lets her know the WABAC even if they messed up. So, that's all

For me, Penny just had a frozen heart. Yes, I knew you will be like "ZOMG! You've saw Frozen too much!", but for me, ice is a metaphor for hatred. Penny's heart was frozen by hatred like ice, and since according to Grand Pabbie "Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart", Sherman technically did that. Remember when Olaf said that love is putting someone else's needs before yours, Sherman really DID THAT

Doesn't matter, She's the one who started it all and acts like it was Sherman who did, if I were Sherman and Mr. Peabody. I would have left that bitch to die in Egypt or tell her to go kill herself after what she's done almost ruining their lives, she can't make up for what she did and she was also not sorry for what she did, if she was, she wouldn't have done any of it in the first place. I'll never understand what people likes about Penny. >.>

I've been hated on by haters, same as Sherman, but i didn't forgive the people exactly. just forgot 'bout them and moved on with my life.
On other note, she WAS the one who caused all the problems but then there'd be no plot or movie

Yeah I used to hate her too. she was such a bully to Sherman and (since I'm not allowed to cuss online) a five letter word that starts with 'b' and ends with 'itch'. > : ( eventually i learned to have some empathy for her, which surprises me because I'm kind of a grudge in real life. I don't really think they'll date or even be close friends, just forgive and forget, same as with taffyta muttonfudge and vanellope in wreck-it-ralph or harry potter and draco malfoy. yeah but if fictional characters reform or have some sort of tragic back story, i tend to be more forgiving than i am with real people. weird huh?

I think the reason why its easier to forgive fictional characters for bad behaviour is because;
1)They can't really harm you for real.
2)Being creatures of fiction they stay as reformed as the creator/writer says they do.
In real life its harder to forgive cruelties that leave real lasting scars and people can't always change as easily in the real world.
But Penny's genuine change of heart and Sherman and Peabody's forgiveness is a lesson in good behaviour and forgiving bad behaviour.

It was old Mr Peabody meets/vs new Mr Peabody in many eyes and I must say they really managed to update it without ruining the charm of the old and made it new..

Yeah; After seeing many a reboot based on what I've learned or remember about many a cartoon or other shows... It was very nice to see them keep enough of the old cartoon's " We get to mess with history vibe/joke" and other parts of the story that made this a very good reboot and while there were a few complaints from people who most likely never even seen the cartoon or even old enough to even seen it on a V.C.R. tape...I point out that it was over 50 years old and would've came out looking TOO dated if they stuck to the old look.. It was a cheaply made cartoon and would be considered clunky at best by today's standred. To say nothing of the fact it was short filler cartoon..

A bit of both. It had much of the old but plenty of new stuff.. In other words it was a reboot but to answer your question the MOVIE is new but the cartoon is old and the movie was based on the cartoon but it had plenty in common with the cartoon. Penny is new and the wabac was quite changed..The old wayback [[ Another way of spelling it.. ]] was more like a door with gizmos added...So the story is old and movie is new..
