Description Jayla's standing on that matters being said by her love was torn. As she listened she found her desire for another round of drinks simply evaporate away. The Garchomp pushed the empty glass toward its other brethren on the table and let out a frustrated huff of air. "I'm not arguing with you on the fact that how things are being run at the academy and royal courts need to change. There is enough evidence present on that for my support." Jayla knew Ganet was no idiot and that his tense posture only served to visually affirm to her that his belief in what he spoke to her meant there would be no swaying him from this path. The dragon pulled in her arm closer to herself to leaned into it to rest her weight on it, rapping her claws atop the bar surface. "What I can't get past is that that you are willing to destroy the one thing that can keep you sane a-and… alive, on the hallow hope that it can be remade... under better hands... in time." The weight of her last two words couldn't have been made more evident in her tone. With her stern composure faltering, in a very uncharacteristic manner for the Garchomp, she brings up her hand to cup the side of the Minun's face. "I... I don’t want to lose you Ganet. Not to... this, of all things." She spoke in a soft voice before leaning in and kissing him on the forehead. "I want to believe in this... hope. But I can't. This stubborn soul just can't see what it is you're seeing."

The Minun closes his eyes as his love cups his face in her hands to kiss his forehead. Leaning into it and giving a heavy and shaky sigh. It was true none of this was easy and he knew that it wouldn't be easy for her either. He'd even started the conversation believing he wouldn't be able to sway her. He had not meant to test her love for him but it was evident in the way she reacted to his words, how could he blame her for that? He'd do the same if it were her. "And what if they show up again... in overwhelming force with a country that rivals ours in might?" he murmurs. "They will destroy it themselves and we will have not even been able to say that we chose our fate but that it was forced upon us. The selfish country of Tora... I... listen. I want to try taking the medicine. See if it recedes into the corrupted limbs and have them removed. You understand I know I would be a monster for allowing so many to die... there are many citizens not a year away from their final day." he wraps his arms about Jayla and holds her tightly to him. He perks up his ears. "And I would scour this continent and beyond for a cure. Tried and true... I don't want to leave you anymore than you me. It was my fool choice to keep these limbs at the time... knowing full well the consequences. How little time I had... what we have feels like an illusion. A dream... and we all need to wake up sooner or later before it's too late."

'A dream... were it only so' Jayla said in her head as she reurned Ganet's embrace, hugging his smaller frame with her strong arms. They likely drew a few stares from others in the tavern but that mattered not to the Garchomp at the moment. 'Before it's too late'... words that very much resonated in her head all too loud and clear. Whenever the Lopun-... Minun, showed her this much conviction it was a sure bet that he would follow through with it, somehow. She let the embrace endure on, feeling his warmth and his strong heart beating within his chest before she finally found her voice again. "Ganet... let's say for a moment that I agreed with everything you've said thusfar unconditionally. How much of this have you actually thought through?" The Garchomp breathes in a deep breath and slowly exhales before loosening her hug to look at her lover's eyes. "I know you are one to keep your word, but I doubt they would simply let you walk out of there with a crate of the medicine. And if they did, do you even have an idea where to take it?" Doctors and scientists of the caliber Ganet needed for such an endeavor were very scarce. Adding to the conundrum that there was also the risk of said individuals refusing to take up the challenge because of the same 'corruption', or fear of it, that was currently plaguing the royal courts and senior officials.

He wraps his own fingers off the table, looking about after Jayla parts from the hug with him. Though he only seems to be pondering how best to explain himself. "Well I will not be collecting a crate... if I can... a few vials. No more. And I will hold onto them till the cloaked figures reveal to us their true design. If I do not see anything that warrants our co-operation tried and true then I shall ferry the vials to a land I think will better develop the cure." he says plainly. "And distribute it to all." "Jayla." he continues. "I must stress you not tell anyone or try this yourself. They will not be able to account for the smashed pieces of glass if I am careful and pick the right time. My telekinesis guarantees I could stow some away in a hiding spot. This is between you and I. No other. Let the others choose what they believe to be right... you choose what you believe to be right." he leans in and gives the Garchomp a kiss. "I will not see to persuading you of my mind further... it is your choice and this is mine."

The Garchomp's tail curls in around her chair as she listens to the Minun's machinations. Jayla suspected Ganet would be tapping into his family's past and current connections to source up potential 'lands' that would take up his challenge. The sand dragon could only hope that this mystery group hadn't beaten him to them first. Nodding in acceptance of his terms, she leans in to accept his kiss. "You have my word love. This stays between us." Jayla resists the urge to dote on the bunny further. This was not the time for that. She instead looked over to the neglected extra drinks her love had retrieved earlier and reaches for one. "I will do my part to ensure that there will still be vials for you to... misplace. But we'll have to check the assignment boards to learn what posts have listed guard duty schedules and who has what days. Even if we were to request the same station, too much of a consistent pattern between us will raise suspicions beyond what they are now because of recent events."

Ganet gives a nod of his head and after the kiss, listening to Jayla's words and giving her a smile. Albeit an uneasy smile. He turns and reaches for his own drink and decides it best to enjoy the rest of the moment with his partner. "Mmn. Well I do not wish to put you in harms way, Jayla." he wouldn't have said anything if the building wasn't bustling and filled with background noise from the voices of other patrons. It ensured that as long as people weren't purposefully listening in on the two that they had some amount of privacy and their voices would be drowned out to all but those who stood cheek to cheek with the pair. He stretches and hmms. "I intend to challenge the one that comes to my guard post. Need to make it look convincing at least and it will give me a chance to see their conviction in their own task." he smooths back his ears and gives a light sigh. "Goodness. What things we have to consider now, love. Never quite imagined this when I enrolled." he chuckles lightly.

Jayla's expression softens, but still struggles to mask her concern for Ganet as she blurts out something to lighten the mood. "Being a knight is veritable definition of being in harm’s way Ganet. It comes to us whether we chose to or not." Smirking, she takes a small sip from the drink before sighing into it. "I don't think any of us expected the country to be turned inside out like this." A weak chuckle escapes her. "And here I though leaving the town guard back home to sign up here was a difficult decision." The Garchomp looks to her Minun love and smiles, trying her best to move the conversation along. "You know... with everything that's happened so far, I think my mind's been made to what secondary training I want to take up here. Though I'm sure you probably sensed as much with all the help you gave me for the exams." Ganet's path was chosen. She could see that clearly. So while she couldn't bring herself to allow the medicine to be destroyed, she would do her part to see if she could help make a new, true cure possible.

He gives a light smile as he enjoys the company of the Garchomp, drinking as she does and chuckling mirthlessly at the half joke while he listens to her. Pausing though at the mention of her exams, recalling his own to be a rather daunting experience. He had enjoyed helping her with her own main exam piece but he could only help so much when it came to potions. Following directions rather than being able to offer up any real suggestions. "Heh... yeah?" he smiles more clearly happy. "I'm glad you've decided. There's a lot to it I hear but if you can pull it off well... alchemy is a subject useful in many areas." he sits up on his seat and finishes his drink before placing it back down on the bar top. "Shall we celebrate this choice, love? How about a restaurant of your choice? Or a midnight flight?"

Jayla does her best to change gears in her mood and tries to enjoy the rest of the night. As much as this was a time meant to relax and be away from the studies and trainings, this was a conversation that needed to happen between them. Things clearly weren't going to be easy, and the more that they could be in tune with one another’s actions and thoughts, the stronger they would be overall. Ganet’s resolve in the face of such adversity was something she truly admired about him. Especially after everything he had been through since enrolling. "Save the celebrations for later you silly rabbit. Like once I've actually passed the certifications for the title." She said with a smile, punching the Minun’s arm lightly. The two exchanged some small banter between themselves before she finished off the last of her remaining drinks, to which she was silent for a while afterwards before speaking up again. "You know. I think I actually like the sound of a quick flight before calling it a night."

Ganet always seeks to lighten the mood, not wishing to dwell on the future for too much longer than is necessary before seeking to enjoy the present with those he cares deeply for. He can't help but smile as Jayla pokes fun at his suggestion of a rather premature celebration of Jayla's decision of becoming an alchemist proper. Especially since she'd yet to register herself as such. He gives a wide grin and nods. "Alright, hun. I'll take you up on that flight definitely. Setka's been itching to spread her wings. I could see it in her eyes and movements this morning." he stands and takes Jayla's hand, leaving money on the bar top to pay for the drinks though. Both heading outside and off to the stables for their respective flying mounts. A calm night of flying and occasional mid-air acrobatics in store before bed. The future might be uncertain but the pair make the most of each other's company.
