Thanks for the praise and fav!
I'm afraid I was taken to task by one of dA's highly respected experts on dinosaurs, who very kindly pointed out that Pterodon and Diplodocus were in fact separated by a longer period of time than Diplodocus is from us! - I think I got that right!
Frankly my dear, I don't give a rat's arse! It's fantasy, so I can do what I like!

Thank you - though I have been chastised for placing Diplodocus and Pteranodon on the same picture, when they were separated by something like 500 million years!

Thank you - I suppose it wouldn't be too bad having one of the little, less dangerous ones, but a velociraptor might be too much of a risk, while a brontosaurus would eat you out of house and home. What type were you thinking of having?

Thanks for the fav - I did get taken to task by the wonderful *jconway (an authority on dinosaurs!), who pointed out that my very silly piece of work had put Diplodocus and Pteranodon in the same picture, when in fact, they were separated from each other by more years than separates us from Pteranodon - some 500 million years! I said I didn't care - it was a fantasy, but he does have an indisputably valid point!

Thank you - I've been rightly chastised for putting Diplodocus and Pterodon in the same scene, as they never existed together ... but oh well - it is a fantasy!

I think the ptero's got a bit carried away, because the diplo only wanted to see their babies, poor thing!

Whoo! Beautiful ... thank you! I must admit to having a soft spot for the old Diplo ... and he only wanted to see the chicks, too.

Hmmm ... recreate the Diplo ... start a Diplofarm. I wonder what they taste like?
Second thoughts ... the fodder bill'd be huge ... and then there'd be the barn to build ...

Oh, I wish that were true! I can't even get the new 3D things I bought into the right directories, so the darn program can find them! I'm stuck with what I've got - which probably means yet more fairies or pretty lights in the next one!

It's from E-on software, and is called 'Vue 6 Esprit' - used to be just 'Vue d'esprit', but now there are a number of versions. I had an old version, Vue 3, and recently upgraded to V6 at the awful cost of $US300. Still, the program is excellent - horribly complicated of course - I've only just scratched the surface, and I know there are bits I'm never going to get the hang of. You've heard of 'Terragen', I assume - well Vue6 has a fractal terraformer as just one of its small parts. It's big!
If you'd like to look at some of the things V6 etc can do, have a look here [link]
