Wow, it's been a while since I posted stuff. I don't like that. Been way too caught up in other stuff. The latest thing I'm caught up in is video games! Namely Genshin Impact and Star Wars Squadrons! Man I love those games. Lucemon is especially loving Genshin Impact. I don't get why people are complaining about its similarity to Breath of the Wild. That game was awesome! Similarities to something awesome isn't a bad thing! The artstyle for the environments is definitely very similar, but also pretty varied. The starting area Monstadt is the typical medieval fantasy location, but the second, Liyue is more chinese fantasy-inspired. Part of it reminded me of the Valley of Peace from Kung-Fu Panda. We'll have even more areas in the future too! So speaking of the environments, the world map is HUGE! All free-roam too!
But of course, more than that, I love good character designs. And this game definitely has that! Currently 23 playable characters can be obtained, with more on the way! Clearly, Lucemon's latched onto some favorites... Hehe. Something I just couldn't resist teasing him over. I couldn't resist! Just look at those feathers getting ruffled! So cute! XD

So needless to say, this game is VERY fun so far! Our current favorite to play! Granted, as fun as it is, I still have complaints... Namely the gacha system. I don't like gacha. Espaecially since this game notoriously has the lowest rates of possibly any gacha game. Outside the main character, only 3 characters can be obtained outside Gacha. (luckily for Lucemon, Lisa is one of those 3) I admittedly spent $200 on gacha and just kept getting duplicates of ONE character over and over, plus a constant stream of useless low-level weapons, so WE HAVE A PROBLEM! And when the game's story cutscenes show your party is supposed to consist of specific characters, but you're not actually able to use them because they can only be gotten through gacha, WE HAVE A PROBLEM! If the main story says they're in your party, you should actually get them in your party! Most of my team consists of people I don't meet until later game side missions!
Another complaint is enemy and dungeon variety. Most of the game, you just fight slimes, violent plants, hilichurls (basically masked goblins) and "abyss mages" Who are just short, floating wizard imps. I thought things would change in the china-inspired Liyue, but no. Same enemies. Well I guess there was one new enemy. Some big rock lizard. Then the dungeons are all exactly the same appearance-wise. The same generic underground foggy ruins.
Also, the main character seems to be the only one capable of dealing damage to enemies. I don't know what's up with that. Everyone else, even when leveled-up to match him, seem to deal little damage in comparison. Not sure what that's about.

Anyways, complaints out of the way, we're having a fun time with this game! Especially Lucemon. Hehe. XD
