Description River
wide, narrow
flowing through
the swamps
of my subconscious

dreams, so many
have lead me to your banks
sometimes steep,
or rocky, or covered
in tall dark pines

In all these years of
slumber visitations
my sleeping
self never ventured
beyond your shore.

Thank you. Β It is true. I dream of this river and have dreamed of it my whole life. When I wrote this poem I realized I had never crossed that river and I am still wondering why.
