Description Porcelain is the conductor for the Unseelie Orchestra. The idea was to do a cross dressing harpy. Really, I should have made the cross dressing harpy a critic. However, here she is, unable to actually wield her batton unless she holds it in her mouth/mask. Which, coincidentally, stops her from screeching. She probably ties her cravat on with her feet.

So sweet and so cruel - to feel infinity in the moment of Falling

This is a marvelous creature to look at. I like the little details from the red end of the spectrum. The picture seems like an illustration plate for an eccentric children's story.

I can definitely see her doing herself up with her feet. Hah!
Lovely concept and colors as always. I really like the pose as well.

Quite an interesting interpretation of a harpy. She looks like someone I'd meet in a dream...

Wow, thats so cool. Are these characters part of a story your writing or a story you are working on? Because they are totally awesome. I know I said this before but they all remind me of something from a mix of the Sandman comic and the movie Labyrinth. They have that kind of wistful beauty and danger to them that I love.

I would definitely love to know the answer to this question. I've heard of the Unseelie Court, but not the orchestra. And that's a nice way to put it! I love both that comic and that movie.

Whil the figure is beautifully done, I miss the extra detail placed into the Rook's background. I must say though that the explanation of the character feels important to it as well, like the viewer should always be able to read the rationalzation of how the Conducter puts on her cravat.

Yes, it's definitely got less. Do you think that the picture is 'emptier' or would you just like to see it busier? I'm trying to improve my technique.

If it were mine, I would prefer busier, as the previous piece. Something about it feels almost incomplete.... But, then again, we are talking about Unseelies: I imagine them as being just a hare chaotically out-of-focus... But, the background feels to empty to me, and its lost the feeling of age that the previous had. With a slighty-more similar feel, they'd fit better together as a related set.

Ooh. This is so neat. I love the whole design of it. The mask, the feathers, everything.
