Aeris/Aerith from Final Fantasy VII, but I'm sure nearly every gamer knows her.
She must be my most favorite video game character ever!
I can't even explain why, I just love her! Even after so many years I'm still crying every time she dies, she's a constant member of my party and I'm really missing something the moment she isn't there anymore.
Currently she's always my first party member in Theatrhythm of course! This game is so much fun!
The title is named after Rikki's Vocal version of Aerith's Theme, I really like her voice, it's so unique.
I remember hating playing piano because my mother always forced me to practice and I didn't like playing at all.
But after hearing Aerith's Theme on piano (in Advent Children, yes, this short part was enough) I started to practice on my own will for the first time. After 7 years of constantly rejecting the piano I really started to practice on my own. It was the first piece I ever liked to play and practiced without complaining.
My mother was really shocked at first, because she never would have thought that I'd ever start to play without her forcing me to play.
And now the Piano Collections are my most beloved music books to play from.I'm talking too much again.
Anyway, because I like her so much I wanted to draw her especially beautiful.
I'll let you decide whether it turned out beautiful or not.

Ah! I feel the same way! I really enjoyed playing the piano JUST because I got the chance to play a lot of my favorite songs ( for me, it was "To Zanarkand")

She looks absolutely wonderful! The pinks and green really go well together, and the windy, light sort of feel of the picture really suits Aerith!

Ooohh, a wonderful portrayal of Aeris! I love it how a gentle breeze seems to permeate the picture, it brings out her character in a very Amano-sort of way! Absolutely terrific!
You know, I have listened to piano collections of FF music, too, but it must be even better to play it yourself.

I envy people who are good at singing, my voice sounds so horrible I don't even want to hear it myself.
Do you also know the Final Fantasy Piano Opera's that were released this year? They're so good! I like them even more than the Piano Collections.

Oh, I think it's a really great song, too! FF9 was such a terrific game. Final Fantasy Piano Operas? I think I've only heard some of the earlier piano collections, but I will look them up from Youtube, maybe I'll listen to them when I'm drawing sometime.

FF9 is actually my favorite Final Fantasy game. It's one of the few games I loved from the very first second! The music, the beautiful graphics, the atmosphere, the story, everything's just perfect!
And I'm very proud owner of a FF9 OST signed by Nobuo Uematsu, it's my greatest treasure!
You're right, the vocal collections are wonderful! They're part of my most listened CDs, I think they really are something special. It's sad they don't produce such songs anymore.
Aerith's theme still is my most played piece among all my favorite pieces and I have a lot.
I never tried to play One Winged Angel on piano, I don't really like the Piano Collections arrangement that much and actually I'm not sure if I could play it even if I tried. I'm not that good of a piano player.

FF9 is very solid, I would agree. It's original, well polished-up, the gameplay is pleasant, the story is great, there's tons to do and the world feels huge...
I was really impressed how the vocal collections bring some of the songs new life... One that somehow stuck for me was Terra's Theme/Wanderer of Time.
I heard One Winged angel once played live on piano. It was at a school spring celebration or the like way back when I was in jr. high, and I was shocked when I realized what the song was. It just went on and on, it was awesome. I just listened to the piano opera version and the arrangement seems to be a little different from the original, not sure if I like that either. 
I'll listen to the songs you suggested soon, too.

beautiful aerith rendition ♥ i especially love that curly/wavy hair~~ on the piano note, i was in the similar situation cause i really disliked practicing piano/violin, but i try to put in the hours...and now i want to play violin again and hopefully one day to take up playing erhu ♪
