He's a literal test tube baby, created by Schmidt to Rule the World! ...okay, pretty much on a whim because Celia had asked him about creating new life using science. He breathes fire, but so far as I remember he has never done so on purpose.
Schmidt has sworn to be a good, caring parent because he doesn't want Eegor struggling with crippling emotional hangups when he goes out to rampage. I doubt he'll ever decide his 'son' is ready for such risks anyway.
