I don't hava a character to contribute, but the hextaur would be an ideal mount for any quadtaur.

Also, the last reminds me of Changer's stories, Dairy and Dairy: Aftermath.  If you haven't read them, I can send them to you; they're amazingly good. (Dairy can be found in the Transformation Story Archive, but I can't remember where I got Aftermath, and I have no idea who Changer is.)
