Am I allowed to admit that your metal plate and cotton limb quadriplegic art totally creep me out?
In the worlds these characters seem to exist in, (regardless of which isolated realities those are), it seems hard to justify that they could not be given more functional, and less disturbing alternatives.
These kind-of feel like dismemberment fetish art that are slipping under the radar without content tags to me.
I'm not flagging or reporting them, but for anyone else who feels similarly, I feel it needs to be said.

I'm just not sure. I feel like it's only ALMOST not okay, and I'm not sure how to react to that.
It's like, if your friend created a slogan for their team that they really love, and printed out t-shirts with it for everyone ... but you just noticed it sounds reeeealy similar to a nasty racial slur. It is clear that it was not intentional, and there is technically nothing wrong with it ... but now you can't see it without thinking of the other thing, and it makes you REALLY uncomfortable.
What do you do? Do you say something, or just wait to see if someone else notices and brings it up?

You relax, get a good beer, and wait for the shitstorm and laugh when it happens. And punch your friend on the shoulder as you laugh and give him a good beer. Wait, you invite him to drink a good beer, but everybody pays for themselves.

It is actually incoceivable for someone like myself to accept that as a valid course ... allowing something bad to happen that was forseen and avoidable and finding it funny. I also don't drink.

I used to be very anxious, but it helps that I'm not autistic I guess? Also you tend to developp a rather dark sense of humour when you study History, and generally as a German.

In a country full of mad scientists, it is an absolute travesty that this young woman has not been fitted with bionic limbs yet. On the other hand, there may be a simpler solution: if she is morphed with...well, really any of Celia's inventions, would that heal her? And if so, would changing her back cause her to lose her arms and legs again? After all, it's highly doubtful that quadroplegia is in her DNA. Sure, there may be some mass exchange involved, but nevertheless, this sounds like an experiment worth undertaking.

Don't assume she's in Celia's universe. She probably isn't in the manticore's, either, but at least that's more likely.
If I had to guess, I'd say that she's from the same neck of the woods as Cotton Limbs; that place seems to have more than its share of unusual body types and a tendency toward unusual coping mechanisms as well. So she doesn't have the mobility of someone with intact legs or Cotton Limbs herself-what's important is that she's happy with her body and ability to interact with the world around her.
