Description I have not only been working on new drawings, but have also been compiling a collection of my own photographs of wildflowers in the Pacific Northwest. Here's a rare beauty that I came across while out for a little hike. Another common name for this plant is deer's head orchid. I actually found myself in a patch of poison oak while taking these photos, but luckily I'm fairly resistant to the stuff

Actually it was super effective.
(He ended up with a delayed reaction and then suffered for two weeks)

Thanks! These little flowers would make a nice salad topping for deer-folk. They have a very nice fragrance.

They actually do look like flowers from an alien world. If only they had bioluminescence like the plants in Avatar.Β

I suspect there would be something like this in Kaneshia's home world.

We have actually walked by this spot many times while out on our weekend wildflower hikes. I'm pleased with most of the photos that I've taken of them, but the purple is more vivid to the human eye than what the camera shows here. I hope to return to these guys tomorrow, and shoot some more photos.

*facepalm* Β We flat out missed it then! Β Augh if only I wasn't so sick!

We may not have missed them. They may have just bloomed recently. The purple really makes them stand out against the moss.
