Hiro Takachiho, Honey Lemon (Aiko Miyazaki) and Fred (or "Fredzilla") are half of Big Hero 6, the Japanese super hero team.
I did not read the first adventures of Big Hero 6, but I was lucky enough to get the more recent miniseries (the one that introduced Fred and Wasabi-no-Ginger) when it came out.
It was not something completely Western or completely Japanese, but it was a good first attempt of sorts. And David Nakayama's designs work really well for the team.
I know the movie has enough changes to make their BH6 an entirely different version (even for alternate universes), but I hope they keep at least some of the design choices Mr. Nakayama made.

Well, she is slightly older and much more popular. He might be attracted to her, but perhaps their personalities would not work out together.
He does have a love interest in the latest mini. She is a genius girl, his own age.

I know that I am trying to get to the point of writing a Spiderman fanfic, where another clone comes by, this time a younger version, and his two best friends that often get caught up in his misadventures would be Jack Power (After the initial shotgun brother moments with his sisters) and Hiro (after perhaps a misadventure....

I am glad Hiro's design was updated, so he is more different from Taki (both glass-wearing, Japanese pre-teen or barely teen boys who can create advanced technological things).

At least now Hiro does look like what a young teen boy would look for.

I hope the movie leads to the return of the comic book version of the team (with you on art, if you are available). I would like the books to show what Fred truly is (I imagine the human look is what is false).
I am sure the movie version will get their book adaptation, but I hope your version survives in the main Marvel Universe.
