Pena....y mucha tristeza en sus miradas
Tomé la foto el "Jul 7, 2006, 12:27:40 PM" En el pueblo de Asni, en Marruecos, en un viaje de propositos fotograficos
La chica, como se ve, muy pobre, la di unos pocos dirhams para ayudarla un pokillo.luego la preguntè si la podia hacer una foto, me dejó....y pues aki la teneis.
Con los niños no hablé, de ahí su cara de curiosidad.
La foto tiene poco postproceso, conversion a BYN, luces, contraste, etc.
Espero que os guste.

In Asni, Morocco. i go to Morocco, to a photograph purposes.
The girl was very poor, and i give her a few Dirhams for help her. and after i say her if i can take a photo, she say "yes", and i took
in the same site she stand.With the children i didn´t talk.
The photo have a little postprocessing, convert to B&W, light, contrast....etc.

Its a really sad photograph, but there's just something about it that makes it really beautiful. The black and white just makes it that much better. Amazing job!

very lovely photo indeed. loving how the eyes create a line that leads the eye through the photograph. i even like the b/w for a digital, except on the eyes that have too much white i think, contrasts are fine but that's a bit overdone here for my taste.

The dirtiness of their cloths are perfectly contrasted with the brightness of their eyes. The way the children seem to be looking beyond the protective stance of their mother brings the family unit very close together. Execellent photo! Thank you for sharing.

I'd hope the description would tell more... where, when, why, blaablaa etc... oh and would be in english.
Well done. As a shot this is just fabilous, especially the way "balance" that has resulted from both the lightning and positioning. I also love the sharpness and and contrast in this.
As for real critique I think the children's eyes look most beculiar (I don't know have you done any postprosessing on those) and unrealistic or is just the way the shot turned out.
Overall an amazing shot, but I really hope there would be some story or an informative description for this, otherwise (for me) this just is left hangin' as a great shot of some poor people somewhere faraway.

this moment is captured nicely, obviously its some kind of problem that is very hard to face and cope with. I admire the courage that the women has to look after the children. The emotions expressed is so deep, it is further emphasised through the use of b & w.
by the way can you translate "Pena....y mucha tristeza en sus miradas" - i'm not so good with Spanish.
