Commission forThis reminds me of "The End" only instead of Robin going after Raven, it's BB. I think the writers KNEW I would have exploded with happiness if it was BB, which is why they chose Robin. I mean, they were just thinking about my well being....

Beast Boy's surrounded, outnumbered, outmatched even... and still he's not showing any shred of fear. Why? Because for him, Raven is worth fighting/dying for. And I like how you depicted him as a wolf. Wolves are my favorite animal, because of their savagery and fighting prowess. What would be a better form for Beast Boy when he's protecting what he cares about the most?

Regarding "The End", they chose Robin because:
1) Robin is at that point the most experienced and skillfull of all the Titans.
2) They needed it to be Robin for all the scenes where Slade is helping them.
It's the only option that made sense in the narrative. I feel like Beast Boy really only comes into his own in the fifth season and so in post-canon gets over Terra and gets more mature, making him and Raven more likely to get together. In the actual show you can't really say that they're madly in love or anything, just that there's chemistry; and I'm saying that as a BBRae shipper. Really, the "for luck" coin thing was enough for me.

In my mind, when I think about it, I think the reason Robin was the one "chosen" in the 3 part episode "The End", I believe it's because of what Robin stood for as a hero. He doesn't have powers, but he has courage and strength of will. I believe that's why he was chosen for the task in the series.

Raven as a child managed to show all us viewers that Raven indeed has a vulnerable side. To see Beast Boy protecting her here is quite rational, while with the normal Raven, she'd probably throw him across the room.

On the episodes to do with Trigon they really dropped the ball. Robin mentions that she'd been in his mind and then she says that Robin probably knows her the best even though that was never ever shown prior in the series. It's like, because every other character had a getting to know Raven better stint that they gave this one to Robin and then kept it rolling. Also whenever they needed something heroic or cool done they'd default it to Robin so he "had" to be the one to go into hell. She hugs him after the whole segregated arc for being the only one who believed in her when all of the other team members did as well. Whenever I watch those few episodes, which Slade is awesome in, I just hold BB's face on a stick over Robins and pretend it's all okay

It would indeed have been great for BB to be with her at that time but the writers I think knew that Robin helping her out was the most realistic and logical way for that ep to go. This is really cute btw!

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
