I recently got a lovely early christmas present. It was a very lovely final fantasy VII doujinshi and this absolutely GORGEOUS picture of Reno was inside it. All it was, however, was uncolored line art, and I thought to myself, "now, this is WAY too pretty not to be colored."

so I colored it. ^_^

and the accessories and the piano and the background sort of developed themselves into a theme, I just followed my instincts of what needed to be in the pic. orginally I was going to have the setting be in the junon basement bar, where all the lighting is very blue. but the warm tones just called out to me so much in the end. they really turned out very nice and I didn't have the heart to change it.

yeah, so my point is the line drawing of reno himself is not actually mine, it belongs to the doujinshi artist. but everything else, including the piano, is mine. man, that piano was hard to draw.
