· HISTORY LESSON!:
Born on January 22, 1782, Philip Hamilton was the first child of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler. Since childhood, his parents had great expectations and hopes (new parents lol) for the future of their first son. When he was 7 months old, Alexander wrote that Philip had "a method of waving his hand that announces the future orator". In 1791, at the age of nine, Philip was sent to attend a boarding school in Trenton, New Jersey. Philip really blow everybody all away, he was charming, witty, he enrolled in Columbia College and chose to major in law. His father was exalting, maybe a little too much: Hamilton set extremely rigorous study routines for his son, having free time only at weekend's afternoons and holidays. Thanks to that, he graduated with honors from Columbia College, in 1800, at the age of 18. And then, everything went to hell.
He challenged George Eacker to a duel after the latter publicly criticized his father at Fourth of July readings at Columbia University. At the duel, he did not die instantly, instead passing from infection following the duel. His parents were by his side when he died.
