How easy was it to get this from the hospital? I've always wanted to do a series but unsure if the they would just "give" me my x-rays.

For me it really easy, I saw that the x-ray tech was burning a cd to give to my doctor and I asked for a copy for my records. It could be that if you've had an x-ray within the last 7 years you could call up their records department and ask for a cd copy of the x-ray - that way you wouldn't necessarily have to get a new x-ray just to get a high quality scan.
Fair warning though - the records department may require a fee to burn the cd. Anyway, I hope that helps! Let me know if it works or if you have further questions.

Nice man, thank you for the tip. I have an album cover I'm working on right now for a band and for now, I've had to replicate the x-ray from references. It looks realistic enough but like I said, I want to do a whole series. I bet my insurance company would freak if I just walked into the clinic and said, "Hey, x-ray my whole body from different parts and copy it onto a CD for me." But I should have some interesting x-rays actually. I almost severed a nerve in my back last January.

Heh, no, it's a marker that shows which side is the left side. It's for the x-ray technicians.
