This is awesome! I'm looking to hire a conceptual artist to make some products for my fashion tech start up. It's a crunch time project, I need it within a week. Would you be interested?

This a really appealing design. Do you mind if I model it and put it in a game?

I should've specified this before, but FYI it would be a free mod, nothing commercial.

I ended up making a high-resolution model for practice, you can see it here.

If you want it taken down or anything, let me know ASAP.

I really like this! It's got so much color and texture, areas I am lacking in and trying to improve upon. You also painted well beyond the 3d mockup to the point that "oh.. this is more 3d model paintover" didn't cross my mind. Efficiency is necessary, but I see a lot of concept art with lazy paint overs and have seen 3d as a crutch up til now. I'm definitely bookmarking this tutorial.

One thing I'd point out (doing so more as a gun owner and less as an artist) is that the cylinder recessions are not evenly spaced, meaning the chambers would also be so, and your front sight is much higher than your rear sight, which would make accuracy a problem.

The personality on the pin is great too. I forget decals and such are totally an option and great way to ad some personality when doing vehicle and prop design.

Thanks, I think the same way when it comes to 3d paintovers. I try not to rely on them like a crutch, I see 3d paintovers more as a starting foundation that I can work upon rather than the focus of the art.

The smiley face area would suggest a hinge point. Is it top break like a Webley? Awesome gun by the way.
