Thank you : ) Hopefully, after a few more years I'll have a series or a line that people will compare other works to.

It sounds like Culverin is a little more like the early Mobile Armors from UC Gundam. Big, and really good at causing mayhem.

Now that is not only a great compliment but one of the best I've recieved. A long time ago it was a dream of mine to become like my mecha idol "Shรดji Kawamori" and create my own series and style of mecha in the hopes of maybe becoming an insperation to someone so thank you for helping me along that path : )
As for your mecha, I look forward to seeing them. I am very curious to see something my work has inspired : )

Wow. The best complement that you've ever recieved? 0_0. Ty. When I post my mecha, I hope you like them!they take a long time and lots of skill to draw and color. I have one that I did on paint posted. I hope you comment!

Interesting. Was the texture you put on the armour plating for aesthetics, or is it part of the design?

CGVickers In reply to teraissa [2007-04-03 23:02:54 +0000 UTC]
If you're asking about the spongy grey, it was a camo I made in an attempt to look like volcanic rock. The idea being to blend in with asteroids or debris fields. The camo is hard to see due to the sheer size of this design and that the original image is 4 times the size. That is if I'm answering the right part of your question : )

I love ZOE but the similrities are accidental. If you look at my other designs, the legs in particular is very similar though I decided last moment to omit it considering it makes more sence in a space design. As for the Patlabor look, I get that a lot with my designs which I'm sure is because of the joint coverings

No prob : ) At some point I plan on working out the specific measuremeants but for the mos part, my mech designs fit into the gundam scale. The Archer is roughly the height of a Dom, the Phantom's height is about the size of a Gundam and this design (Cuverin) is roughly the size of a mobile armor sitting at about 90ft aprox 3 times the size of the Phantom. I'm actually planning a scale chart at some point to give a rough idea as to the size of all my designs in the Project Misha world

it's cool to see both the "resting" and "locked on" poses of the mech. helps us understand how these guys move and work.
i'm not sure how the feet work, though. does it hover with jets or is it not made for land use?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
CGVickers In reply to fyrenwater [2007-03-30 00:19:46 +0000 UTC]
This thing is designed for space use only though there is a retractable foot thats purpose is basically landing gear.
