I apologise if there's any offence. It's not meant to be an attack on the UK's political stance or anything.

Actually I rather think the Doctor would be somewhat unsuitable as a figure of authority, since he is more often than not influenced by strong emotions. His companion/s are what balance him out, and I do not think he would be entirely suitable as president.
If you mean the normal doctors, they are not suitable either. There is more to running a country than just having a good moral compass. Obama has done quite a bit for your country but as soon as something goes wrong people turn against him. While it IS his responsibility as president, that is no reason to say that he is a complete failure. Look at his overall achievements and make a more balanced decision. I believe your country has their elections coming up sometime soon or in the next year...?
