Blown out of your damn mind you began to assault the police until your buzz ran out and you had to run away again.

Not to sound sexist but if you ask me, Ms. Packman was basically just Packman with lipstick and a bow on top. There weren't really any good female game heroes until Samus shocked us all at the end of the original Metroid.

Well I always thought of it as image association. Since they couldn't make the pixels look like the characters back then, the marketers would show a picture of a character as if to say "that's what that little mesh of pixels is supoused to look like".
