My first drawing done with the Sai program.
I like it. The stabilizer feature is really nice and I get a more natural looking line art.
But I miss the control of Illustrator and the shading of Photoshop.
Anyway more Mom with an expression of maternal befuddlement.

I think you did a good job even though I can't say that I have ever worked with the Sai program. So I myself don't have experience in this, only with Illustrator and Photoshop.
But anyway, I think Mom looks good here! The lineart looks fine. Keep going

I mostly ink in Sai and color in Photoshop. The lines are cleaner and almost vector like and like you said more natural looking. It IS a great program for inking but I find coloring in it slightly confusing and not flexible enough since I've been using Photoshop for over a decade.

Huh. I always thought you WERE using SAI brushes. But hearing it makes lineart much more detailed is already amusing. I hope its not as complicated to practice though.

Did you try the stabilizer feature? I set it on 13 when I do the roughs and s-7 when I do the final line art.

Has Sai been improved? Last I tried it, there was an unworkable limit with how large your image file could be.

I love SAI, it's easy to use and + lets you save your file like a .psd but yeah I also like the control of Illustrator, we should make a mish-mash of all these programs XD

photo shop scares me a bit of how heavy the brushes feels and the lining never end up this clean like in sai.
